Cairo, Egypt – XX May 2024: El Marwa, Juhayna’s Concentrates Factory, has received an AA rating for the BRCGS (British Retail Consortium Global Standards) Food Safety Certification. The factory underwent a rigorous evaluation conducted by SGS, a global auditing company, to ensure compliance with global best practices in the production of safe and high-quality products.
This certification is a reflection of Juhayna’s unwavering commitment to upholding the utmost standards of quality and food safety across every stage of production, from farm to fork. This achievement is a testament to Juhayna’s enduring dedication to cultivating a culture of excellence. The company has consistently invested in research and development, as well as the implementation of rigorous quality and food safety systems across its entire supply chain.
Mr. Seif Thabet, CEO and Vice Chairman of Juhayna, expressed his pride in attaining the BRCGS Food Safety Certification. He emphasized the pivotal role this certification plays in empowering the company’s products to thrive in the global market and stand out among competitors. El Marwa, Juhayna’s concentrates factory, instrumental in realizing Juhayna’s export strategy, has played a significant part in generating impressive export revenues of 931 million Egyptian pounds during the initial nine months of 2023. Thabet added that Juhayna currently serves 62 markets around the world, including the Arab world, Europe, Asia, and Africa, and is aiming to expand to 6 more markets.
Furthermore, Al Marwa Concentrates Factory produces a wide range of high-quality products. These products include orange, strawberry, peach, tomato, mango, and guava concentrates which are offered at a high level of quality to meet the diverse needs of customers. With an unwavering commitment to quality and safety, the factory has obtained several accredited certifications such as the FSSC 22000 food safety system certification, ISO 22000:2018 certification, ISO 14001:2015 certification, ISO 50001:2018 certification, and a “Halal” license.
It is worth noting that El Masreya, Juhayna’s Dairy Factory, obtained an AA+ rating in 2022, being one of 100 factories worldwide to receive this evaluation from their first attempt. This represents the highest rating obtained by a food industry company in Egypt, in addition to the AA rating (second highest rating) achieved by all of Juhayna’s other factories.
