Juhayna is one of the first companies to support the Egyptian government’s initiative aimed at lowering the prices of essential goods

Cairo, October 11, 2023 – Juhayna Food Industries has announced a price reduction of product; Bekhero milk, aligning with the Egyptian government’s initiative to support the citizens of Egypt. The initiative was launched by His Excellency Dr. Mostafa Madbouly; Prime Minister, after a meeting that was held last Monday between Dr. Ali Al-Moselhi, Minister of Supply and Internal Trade, Mr. Hassan Abdullah, Governor of the Central Bank, several ministers, and the Prime Minister, with the aim of decreasing the prices of essential goods.

This step falls in line with Juhayna’s strategy of prioritizing consumer welfare, supporting society members, and alleviating the burdens that may impact their quality of life. Moreover, it demonstrates the company’s role in supporting the Egyptian government amidst global economic challenges. Juhayna is no stranger to this, as it has a long-standing commitment to supporting Egyptian consumers and mitigating any negative effects resulting from current changes.

The reduction specifically targets Bekhero milk, due to it being a crucial staple in Egyptian households and highly sought after by consumers. This comes within the company’s keenness to respond to the national call of the Egyptian government to support its citizens and alleviate their burdens.

It’s worth noting that the government has identified seven key commodity groups that will undergo price reductions ranging from 15% to 25%. Several of these commodities, including beans, lentils, dairy products, white cheese, pasta, sugar, cooking oil, and rice, are already starting to witness price reduction.
